    You know, someone should write an article on story-telling on "reality" shows - because that's what it is. Liss, you're right about Beauty and the Geek - I got sucked in by the editing, by the story. Which, of course, was only semi-real - people in an unnatural situation playing characters they think they should play. What a strange art form!

    Great post, btw, but in the context of this particular series I got a strange mental image at your phrase "waxing political."

    Excellent. I hope you don't mind me using this as an excuse to make a point that I made some time ago with
    this post , which is basically in America we are raised to believe that money can buy more than material things.

    I'll never forget on one of my business trips to England, one of the other Americans asked a woman after she made some remark, "Don't you want to be rich one day?" and she said something like, "No, I don't particularly like rich people - why would I bloody want to be like them?

    Ha! I haven't watched it, but must change the channel each time an ad for it comes on. I think the one blond (the one in the top middle) sounds just like Derek Zoolander.

    What's with Bravo, anyway? There are some good shows and some truly appalling ones. It runs so hot and cold for me.

    I, unfortunately, have seen it. I thought I might need some Ipecac to rid my soul of its poison, but then found the show to have the same effect as Ipecac...

    I'll wait for Project Runway! What would Tim Gunn say to these ladies?!?!?

    Good points.

    Maybe season 3 will be better now that they're enrolled in that Adventure Bootcamp with fitness pro John Spencer Ellis!
    I think a 5:30am butt-kicking is exactly what these ladies need. Not a complete reality call, but John's bootcamp is going to make them work hard (for once)!
