Thank you. Bardem and Cruz happily play the fools in this piece of crap because Spain is fixated on having their actors validated by the Oscars, when each of them is capable of much better work in better films. The misogyny was always there; now it's tricked out in tourist clichés of exotic Spain.

Vicky Cristina Barcelona" has already been released, and Mr. Allen, despite his obviously loathsome nature, continues to work as he approaches age 75, courting senility, no doubt, and I'd guess he hasn't suddenly grown a few inches, so that you will be able to reuse your cutting observation of Mr. Allen's being "little" when that film is released.

I think that this is quite unfair review. Vicky Cristina Barcelona garnered the best reviews Allen had received since Oscar-nominated Match Point but I respect your opinion.

Barcelona, the last time i visit there me and my girl had a romantic date in an inflatable boat. there are lots of beautiful sites there definitely Barcelona is one of the prettiest tourist destination.

the movie just..ended. i really thought both girls would end up living with him and his ex. I was trying to guess where it was all going, and shouldn't have expected a perfectly-tied-up ending, but this ending was nothing. blank. of course, nothing about it was realistic. it all happened in two months? really? July--August...i don't think so. the time passage felt much longer

the narration was so poorly written. is the joke that the writing is terrible and the narrator is a bad narrator? if that's a joke, then that puts a little more faith into Woody Allen. because, as an aspiring writer, I was amazed at the narration and kept thinking, "my god!" at every line, and how it disconnected us from the characters and disengaged us from the story. the narration was so...i don't know how to describe it.

i agree with pretty much everyone on this. there's nothing that really works in the film. oh, and as an american i would say i "hate" our "culture," even though we've got many talented artists, etc. but hey, we haven't been around that long and who knows, maybe some day we're be Europeans who cut out processed sugar (here's hoping) (if our gov. does shift over to Socialism). stay tuned for that one!

the rich painter in Europe then, though, doesn't make sense. i kept thinking, how is he paying for this? But i've heard you can get a huge house for only 250,000 in spain, which is nothing to the small homes in my neighborhood that go for 1,000,000. ugly homes, too.

Using the words like "little man" or "ugly, as sin" take away any credibility in your critique. obviously, you had made up your mind way before you saw the movie.
As far as the comments above, Carlos Villaseñor is a complete idiot. He does not only stereotype Americans but uses arguments like "puritanical materialistic" i can easily trow you that argument by pointing at the millions of tourist that come to Disney in Orlando every year from all over the world, especially the ones that come from or have EURos or JPYns. Yeah America is expensive, I wont deny it.. I still dont get your point, especially when talking about a film that only focuses on many good things of the Catalan region.

Hmmm... this last comment from Carlos Villasenor was completely racist.
I am not American and I have a degree in Plastic Arts, wich makes me an exception from the puritanical materialistic world apparently.
Still, I did not like this film, it was like mr. Anthony Steyning described it : An almost amateur film,
at least judging by the first 30 min.
The sense of humor must be from another planet, and to me it's really hard to laugh with the standard american comedy, but still
did not find this movie funny at all.
The only moments that actually woke me from this nightmare were the ones where Penelope Cruz and the Bardem guy had spanish fights, wich still was pretty boring.
The acting was horrific, the production was just poor.
And finally I have to say that this is living proof that Producers make the actors, not the other way around.
