If you don't like him...don't listen to him....don't talk about him...he's got a huge online fanbase that collects everything he puts out. Ryan Adams isn't for the casual fan...he gave you gold...take it and sod off.

Re: The Misadventures of Ryan Adams

Hi!

What do you think about Apple Iogo? >:)

Re: The Misadventures of Ryan Adams

I'm a fan. Demolition is one of the two or three rock albums by younger artists that really got under my skin over the past decade. I loved the second disk of Cold Roses. But the gems are scattered among a lot of frustrating half-good stuff. BTW, go back and listen to Burning Photographs from Rock N Roll. Or Nuclear from Demolition. Or Easy Plateau from Cold Roses.

There's a lot of great stuff in Adam's oeuvre that people I think never digested because of his ADHD career.

Re: The Misadventures of Ryan Adams

Claire's right - less is more with Adams.

I'm just a sampler. Will always love his New York, NY track from Gold.

Re: The Misadventures of Ryan Adams

I have such mixed feelings about Ryan Adams, but they boil down to the fact that I wish he edited himself better. He's a great songwriter, but would be better if he didn't flood the world with his output.

I have only listened to the album a couple of times, but it hasn't stuck with me too much. I really hate "Halloween Head," though.

Have you listened to his pre-solo work in Whiskeytown? Because I think a couple of those albums are wonderful.
