I just added this to my netflix queue. I've never seen it, and your review has convinced me that I must. Thanks.

Excellent! You won't be sorry, Viscount. There's so much more to this movie that I didn't have space to write about.

I haven't even seen this movie in years but it's got so many great lines that even now are rattling around in my head.

"The cat's in the bag and the bag's in the river."

"How do ya like this? Here I turn myself inside out tryin' to do you a favor and now I'm the heavy!"

The lines must really be good if you remember them that well, Dan. I saw the movie with Manny and the dialogue speeds past. I managed to put these in my memory bank, though.

    "Sidney, match me."
    And:
"Watch me run a fifty yard dash with my legs cut off."

Thanks. This looks right up my alley. It's a dark alley really.

Beautiful reflection on one of my all time favourites. It's probably one of the darkest films to come out of 1950s Hollywood, and I'm almost surprised it's survived unscathed. I should watch it again, as it's been a few years since I've seen it.
