    The Encomium album really was not good. The Rasta version of Zep was at least funny.

    Dan: Agreed and agreed. Dread Zeppelin was hilarious: A reggae Zeppelin cover band with an Elvis impersonator at the controls.

    I heard that Plant liked them. After all, he was actually somewhat of an Elvis fan himself.

    Plant once said that he preferred Dread Zeppelin's version of Your Time Is Gonna Come to the original, and I have to agree with him. DZ's version of Kashmir was also pretty good -- I think that was the one that involved an alien kidnapping the singer halfway through.

    I hadn't heard Gilbert's take on the song before, but I like it.

    I don't think the original sucks either. I was saying when my kids first heard it when held against this remake (which they heard first) they thought it did.

    I have listened to Mark and Brian in LA since 88 and remember Kevin coming in and playing it. Its a great find and I hope to get a copy in my hands someday. Thanks for sharing it.
