With Radner, she was aglow with hilarity - and your point about Murray coming into his own ties into that, I think - his work with Gilda brought him to prominence and played off her wackiness in the Todd and Lisa sketches - they seemed to push each other deeper into those characters.
But I do remember thinking the Stones were both great and insanely decadent - right in the late 70s NY sleaze groove.
PS - I'm giving Savage Mules to a coupla Dems this year for xmas!

Scotch Boutique is perhaps my favorite running skit in the entire 30+ year run of the show (barring Mr. Bill, of course, which seems to run outside of the show in its own special alternate universe).

Drug induced humors and sex drives have been very popular in those years. Even up to now, there are still some that uses it, yet they're very good at hiding it. However, the irrevocable repercussions that such drugs could bring are not worthy of the bleak, ecstatic moments that it brings. That's why I hope people would just stay sober, for they could have the same high and the same humor even without the help of such drugs.
