    Endings that never quite ended - well said. Vonnegut was often a character in his oown works, but not like Hitchcock put himself into his movies - it wasn't a cute signature; it was a sign of who was boss.

    Well said, Brendan.

    When I saw the news on p. 3 of the Post, I was surprised that it wasn't front page. Not that I should have been, but my first reaction was, I think, a tribute to his primacy among popular U.S. authors in my lifetime.

    And with the delay we are exposed to questions that never really had answers, hanging in the balance whether will it ever come to be or be written by someone else pretending to be the artist himself. The conclusion remains with us until his final publication surfaces.

    Kurt Vonnegut's life story is just so intrigued. I am just in awe.
