    Ted - I liked the film too. Very enjoyable and really had some depth. I loved the part where TP goes off on Roger McGuinn's slick A&R; guy. "Dude, this is Roger fucking McGuinn here, man! Don't make him play this shit!" Was a great moment.

    I liked the process stuff too - about how the recors came together.

    Yeah, that McGuinn scene is great. Tom says, "I could go smoke a joint and write a better song,.....so could you."

    Great post, I am a huge TP fan - I remember thinking my older brother was so cool when he bought me "Damn the Torpedos" for a birthday present. I didn't think he was so cool when after he realized how awesome this record was - ended up in his collection!

    I got to get this DVD.

    Damn Theo! You must have sat down for more than 10 minutes to put htis together. VERY well written sir. I can't wait to get my hands on it.

    Tom was pushed his whole career to "stay with the times" and steadfastly rejected it. As he states in the book, with the one moment of weekness (Lucky), he just saw no upside to "competing" with the the others.

    Pat attention Arcade Fire, Modest Mouse, Snow Patrol, etc... THIS is what rock and roll is supposed to sound like. Pick up a pencil and take a few notes fellas...
