    I love Calvin Trillion. I recently re-read the New Yorker article that you are referring to and started thinking how great it would be to have someone in my life that I could feel that way about. The way he describes Alice makes you believe in love and magic and whimsy and that life can be perfect.

    The book wasn't on my list until this post, BG - now it is. I've loved Trillin's articles, never went further - but I will read this one.
