Pete's had a harsh relationship with his father all along, and his fatehr was contemptuous of his advertising career, as Pete tried to explain to Duck. And now Pete's not even going to get a cent from his broke father's estate. For Pete to use his father's death to further his own advertising career? Man, that is some sweet revenge.

On another front, I notice that Don no longer calls his wife "Birdie."

Re: Mad Men Season Two: “Flight 1″

Good night all - i enjoyed the episode, some real corporate plotting, some belief in the characters...

Re: Mad Men Season Two: “Flight 1″

Time to return to the 21 century to get ready for the real work week. Agencies that did "branding" were new in the 60s. The old way was to make your dough by a % of the media buy.

Re: Mad Men Season Two: “Flight 1″

I think Duck came in when Roger had his heart attack, so it was possible he wasn't going to stay once Roger was back.
