  • V, you hipped me to Hejira but even so I've not taken to Joni as many have. It's not dislike in any way -- I just need to find my hook. It's there somewhere.

    Problem is, I listen to so much stuff that some artists are simply crowded off the schedule. I will renew my efforts in the Mitchell area.
  • I consider God must be a boogie man - on Mingus - to be one of the most amazing pieces of music ever written. Personal taste, of course, but the sheer audacity of eking out that piece and launching it on the world is astonishing.

    I, too, am devoted to her work!
