  • Claire - the timeless nature of Jane Austen is often commented on, and her work is clearly a huge stepping stone to the modern novel - no Austen, no Dickens and so on. Sure, the romance is the great, the stories are great, but what really has me returning to Austen is the humor - she's a scream.
