I was always a big fan of Van Morrison.He was a good and efficient musician.His music gives me very much mental relaxation.His albums are mind blowing.

Listen to music, read books, skype, surf the internet, play games. What doesn't it do? It's not a camera or a cell phone though you can get an app that let's the touch make calls and send / receive texts using wi-fi. Love it!

I am sure that the evidence of the few extant recordings of that group, the sound of Astral Weeks came together only for those few studio sessions, not on stage with Morrison’s jazz-folk trio..

Morrison is one of the greatest singer i had ever watch to perform, the last concert he had done i haven't seen for i had bought myself a business health plans, well i don't regret it having one makes me feel secure.

His songs never fail in arousing my senses every time I play it in the bedroom while seducing the hubby. The mellow rhymes paired with some scented candles are the best pre-cursor to sex with my partner, and it never fails!

Beautiful, Kelly. Weeks was the secret code of my tribe's (lifeguards) inner searching that opened up some really important conversations about shared values and expectations for this life. Why rainy days at the beach were my favorites. Really formative for me and my shaman heart.

Howard, no end of speculation about the sources of all things Astral Weeks... Whatever the reason I'm glad he took it up. (Wait 'til you hear Slim Slow Slider, which maybe takes on some additional significance in the context of sobriety.) I'm sure that having an historic, marketable kickoff to his "Listen to the Lion" imprint played a role, dunno if that relates to sobriety either. That said, the project has kinda been poorly marketed. Lots of internet buzz but Morrison has struggled to get his website positioned to take advantage (the revamped site has a "coming soon" page in place of forums). And the tickets are being sold at pre-recession prices. I heard there were empty seats in LA and that the NY shows aren't sold out (and I had one friend cite price as the reason he's not going).

I am and have been a huge fan of Van Morrison, since I heard him open for the Airplane at the Fillmore East nearly forty years ago. I regard him as the greatest rock and roll singer alive, and have frequently referred to myself with a touch of aggrandizement, as the Van Morrsion of comics.

I had seats for shows he ended in mid song, disappearing from the stage never to return, and I continued to seek him out. Since I no longer live in Los Angeles proper, and I'm too damned old for the arena era of rock, I skipped the Bowl show--but I can't wait for the album. It seems to me there might be another reason underpinning Morrison's decision to revisit this material. Bear in mind, this is a fan's conjecture, but let's not forget his last album was entitled KEEP IT SIMPLE. There are those among us who recognize that as a truism of sobriety--and there are rumors that the Belfast Cowboy had finally stepped away from the drinking that was such a big part of his story.

Is it possible that this life style change was a part of the decision to recreate ASTRAL WEEKS? Beats the shit out of me, but I'd love to think it had a part in it.
